Will 2011 Be Your Best Year Yet?

dreamstime_1754711112010 has come and gone and we’ve moved into the next decade.  Perhaps you achieved all your goals for 2010, or perhaps you didn’t.  But it’s time to set our sights on how we can make this our best year yet.  Let’s start the decade off with a blast, set good goals and take massive action to really make this your best year yet!

Start with your success!  What did you achieve, do great and accomplish this year, both personally and professionally?  Be sure to take inventory of small and big things!

What did you learn this year, from both your challenges and wins?  About yourself and your character?  What worked? What was your winning formula to reach those goals? What didn’t work? What won’t you repeat again?

Get clear on what you want to accomplish in each of the key areas of your life and practice by the end of 2011.  Set a 1 big goal for each sector of your life. Then set a few smaller goals in each area as desired.

The trick to achieving your goals is taking consistent action on the small steps required to reach the big goal!  Massive and repetitive action.  Reverse engineer the steps required to reach your goal. Plan them out month-by-month in sequential order, then break it down week by week. Each day, look at your weekly action steps and do THE most impactful thing that you can do each day to make your goal a reality.

We prefer to look at the goals for the next 90 days and clarify what is the most important, bang for the buck action that you can take to reach that goal.  Each person on your team needs to clarify what they can do to contribute to that goal.

As a New Year’s gift, we’ve included a link to a 30 minute recording on Goals and the New Year.  Please enjoy and let us know if we can help you have the practice of your dreams in 2011!

Goals for 2010

January 12th, 2010 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Practice Management, Goals & Aspirations

goals for 2010What are you going to do to ensure that 2010 is your best year yet, for your practice and your life?

As 2010 is in full swing, Dr. Rosen and I have been working with our coaching clients to clarify goals for the year and put together a powerful action plan to achieve them.

First things first, a goal is something you WANT.  If it comes from a place of lack, or is to avoid something you DON’T WANT then you need to do some KST, NET, EFT and get coaching to set a clean goal.

Secondly, ask yourself WHY you want it? What’s in it for you? What will be the driving force and motivation to doing what it takes to achieve it?  What’s in it for your community?

Next you need to ask yourself is it possible to achieve the goal?  Do you buy it? Is everyone on board?  If not, spend some time reorganizing your capacity blockages and working on your head space issues and level of certainty.

Then ask yourself what you will continue doing, that is working well, to achieve your goal?

Then ask yourself what you are willing to do differently to make the goal a reality? This usually means you either have to make space, or fill it!  Using our Rosen Coaching Systems, we will help you with your LAASR Communication, Marketing, Dream Team or personal life balance. If you need some help, use this worksheet to put together your action plan of how to accomplish your goal!

Fourthly, you need to take consistent action on the ONE thing that will have the biggest impact this week of moving you towards your goal.  Get accountability from your team, your coach, a friend or colleague.  Report to them each week on your progress, wins, challenges, and what you’ve learned and accomplished.

Lastly, need help creating balance in your life to manage yourself at the office and at home to get it all done? Find out how to create the perfect life and how to achieve your goals!

Your Next Level of Chiropractic Success

December 15th, 2009 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Success, Goals & Aspirations, Leadership

In addition to the Ask. vs. Tell idea of asking people questions as opposed to telling them what we think, what about asking ourselves questions to get to our next level of success?

As we are approaching the end of the year, here are some questions to consider for what will change in your life and your chiropractic practice in 2010 to become more successful.  Who we are being starts the physical manifestation of the results you want to see in your life. Many of these questions come from my coach, Robin Sharma, and many of them come from coaching chiropractors myself:

1. The Unstuck Question: “Is this choice moving me towards or away from what I want”?

2. The Authenticity Question: “Who am I”?

3. The Clarity Question: “What am I trying to accomplish”?

4. The Intention Question: “Why am I trying to accomplish it”?

5. The Mastery Question: “How can I get better”?

6. The Growth Question: “What am I resisting’?

7. The Fearlessness Question: “What am I afraid of”?

8. The Gratitude Question: “What am I grateful for”?

9. The Impact Question: “What one thing can have the biggest impact”?

10. The Legacy Question: “What legacy do I want to leave, for my family, my practice and my community?

11. The Integrity Question: “Are my beliefs, thoughts and actions aligned”?

12. The Action Question: “What is the one thing I’m going to work on to get the results I desire”?

At Rosen Chiropractic Coaching we are committed to your success in your chiropractic practice and your life. We are here to help and would be honored to do so.

A Fresh Start

January 21st, 2009 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Goals & Aspirations, Leadership

I’m not into New Year’s Celebrations as the biggest night of the year.  And I’m not into New Year’s Resolutions.  I am into reflecting on the past year, looking at my wins, challenges, good times and bad.  I am also into setting my intentions and goals for the upcoming year.  And the trick is to write your intentions in a way that they trigger action.  Because life is short.  And you never know when it is going to end (sorry, but it’s true).  ”On our deathbeds, our biggest regrets are all about the dreams we didn’t do, the love we didn’t give and the places we didn’t see” (Robin Sharma)

So for the first few weeks of 2009 I’ve been reflecting on what I want to look back on at the end of this year.  (I normally do this before New Year’s but I was surfing in Costa Rica and lost track of the days leading up to New Year’s)!  My big question is, “How can I make 2009 my best year yet”?  If we we take the time to decide how we want to reflect on our year once it’s over, we will develop stronger action-oriented goals.  Just like high performing individuals take the time to decide what do they want to reflect on at the end of their lives and then live that way, with those priorities and goals going forward.

One of my mentors and coaches, Robin Sharma talks about The Big Five.  The Big Five are the 5 most difficult animals to hunt in Africa (lion, leopard, rhino, cape buffalo and elephant).  He refers to The Big Five as the 5 most important (albeit difficult) things you need to do to make 2009 your best year yet!

What do you need to do in your personal life to ensure that 2009 is your best year?  Perhaps it is get in better shape to be the role model of health and well being? Perhaps it is repair some relationships and re-prioritize your family life?  What do you need to do socially, economically and spiritually to make this the single best year of your life to date?

What about your practice?  Are you able to clear your head from the downturn economy and fear-based media and thrive, rather than just survive this year in practice?  What will it take to get your head in the game and start serving more people, who need you now more than ever?  Maybe you are ready to take your practice from a symptom-oriented approach to a true wellness approach.  Do you need to improve your communications with your clients?  Take your Visit 1 and Visit 2 to the next level?  How about your Re-Assessments and Daily Interactions?  Would you like to learn how to “teach under the radar” instead of lecturing people who just don’t ever seem to ‘get it’?  Do you need better retention? More new people?  More internal referrals? Do you need to plug the holes in your bucket? Do you need some support or coaching to do it?

Write down your Big Five and look at them everyday. Take the actions necessary to accomplish your Big Five on a daily basis by creating your Daily Five action steps.  For example, if your Big Five includes (like mine does) “to be in the best shape of my life” by the end of 2009, then included in my Daily Five must be “exercise” to move me toward the end-of-year big goal.  We all have giant To-Do lists for the many projects in our lives.  Without prioritizing the Top 5 things that need to be accomplished before bed and that will have the most impact to move you towards your Big Five, it is easy to get overwhelmed and and procrastinate.  Action is the key to getting what you want.

Together, let’s make make 2009 your best year yet!
