Who Creates Your Future?

March 31st, 2011 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Wellness Practice, Goals & Aspirations, Motivation

The first quarter of 2011 comes to a close today. Today is the future you’ve been creating for the past three months. How does it look? How does it feel?

I often have a discussion with our Rosen Chiropractic Coaching clients about a Magic Wand. I often ask our coaching clients if they’d rather have a Crystal Ball or a Magic Wand?  (We have a poll right now on Facebook if you’d like to vote!)

Many people say right away, “A crystal ball, of course!  Then I could see into the future of what will happen.”  After discussing the value of seeing what is going to happen to adapt or prepare for it, up comes the discussion of the Magic Wand.

What if you held, in the power of your heart and hand, the ability to create the future?  What if  you could waive your Magic Wand and, voila!

The reality is, you do hold the power in your head, heart and hands of a Magic Wand.  But instead of just waiving it, you have to get clear on what you want, set objectives and take consistent action and do the work to achieve it!

Sometimes when our Rosen Coaching clients get stumped by an obstacle or a roadblock, I love to come back to the Magic Wand.  I say, “IF you had a Magic Wand right now, what would you create, what would you do?” It opens up a world of possibility that wasn’t there before.  It’s not a stroke of coaching genius, just a simple way to see what is possible.

Oh, how I truly wish I had a real Magic Wand!  I’d waive it and make the world a happy, peaceful place where chiropractors are the recognized leaders of true health care and the wellness revolution.  A world where people trust in their bodies, and in life itself.  I’d make every chiropractor’s office as busy as they could handle!

The reality is, I have the power of a Magic Wand to envision what I want to create and the dedication and drive to do what it takes to get there.

Do you want to borrow my Magic Wand? It’s simple, but not easy.

What will you create for your future next quarter?

How To Get Healthy and Stay Healthy

January 13th, 2011 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Practice Management, Chiropractic Success, Chiropractic Wellness Practice, Goals & Aspirations, Leadership, Success

Ask anyone on the street if they’ve ever heard of chiropractic.  Most of the people say, ‘yes’, while they grab their neck or low back.  When it comes to educating the public what it is that we really do, we’ve failed as a profession.

At Rosen Coaching we feel that the public needs to understand is that they have a health problem, not a back problem, and that you can help them get healthy and stay healthy for a lifetime!

My kick-in-the-groin question is, “Are you the epitome of health”?

Some of us are. We are in great physical shape, we do cardio and weight training regularly.  We have great nutrition. And fabulous strategies to deal with mental and emotional stress. We are well balanced in your overall life, showing up 100% in our practice and in your personal life.

But many of us aren’t.  We don’t exercise regularly and are overweight. Some by a lot, some by a little. We eat crappy food on a regular basis. We’re too stressed out, in fight-flight response for hours a day to think straight, let alone show up with focus and presence for the people we serve. How are we ever going to deliver a congruent Report of Findings where we talk about reaching optimal health and wellness, if we aren’t?

What are you going to commit to this year to lead by example, to be a true picture of health?  If you’d like to share your action steps to get there, to help get support and accountability, post them here.

If you want to find out more how to truly THRIVE in a Care vs. Scare, True Wellness Model, join Dr. Rosen TODAY for a webinar! Click here to register. We hope you’ll join us!

Will 2011 Be Your Best Year Yet?

January 6th, 2011 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Practice Management, Goals & Aspirations, Leadership, Success

dreamstime_1754711112010 has come and gone and we’ve moved into the next decade.  Perhaps you achieved all your goals for 2010, or perhaps you didn’t.  But it’s time to set our sights on how we can make this our best year yet.  Let’s start the decade off with a blast, set good goals and take massive action to really make this your best year yet!

Start with your success!  What did you achieve, do great and accomplish this year, both personally and professionally?  Be sure to take inventory of small and big things!

What did you learn this year, from both your challenges and wins?  About yourself and your character?  What worked? What was your winning formula to reach those goals? What didn’t work? What won’t you repeat again?

Get clear on what you want to accomplish in each of the key areas of your life and practice by the end of 2011.  Set a 1 big goal for each sector of your life. Then set a few smaller goals in each area as desired.

The trick to achieving your goals is taking consistent action on the small steps required to reach the big goal!  Massive and repetitive action.  Reverse engineer the steps required to reach your goal. Plan them out month-by-month in sequential order, then break it down week by week. Each day, look at your weekly action steps and do THE most impactful thing that you can do each day to make your goal a reality.

We prefer to look at the goals for the next 90 days and clarify what is the most important, bang for the buck action that you can take to reach that goal.  Each person on your team needs to clarify what they can do to contribute to that goal.

As a New Year’s gift, we’ve included a link to a 30 minute recording on Goals and the New Year.  Please enjoy and let us know if we can help you have the practice of your dreams in 2011!

We invite you to join Dr. Rosen for a webinar titled Goals: A Love/Hate Relationship!  Click here to join us!

Goals for 2010

January 12th, 2010 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Practice Management, Goals & Aspirations

goals for 2010What are you going to do to ensure that 2010 is your best year yet, for your practice and your life?

As 2010 is in full swing, Dr. Rosen and I have been working with our coaching clients to clarify goals for the year and put together a powerful action plan to achieve them.

First things first, a goal is something you WANT.  If it comes from a place of lack, or is to avoid something you DON’T WANT then you need to do some KST, NET, EFT and get coaching to set a clean goal.

Secondly, ask yourself WHY you want it? What’s in it for you? What will be the driving force and motivation to doing what it takes to achieve it?  What’s in it for your community?

Next you need to ask yourself is it possible to achieve the goal?  Do you buy it? Is everyone on board?  If not, spend some time reorganizing your capacity blockages and working on your head space issues and level of certainty.

Then ask yourself what you will continue doing, that is working well, to achieve your goal?

Then ask yourself what you are willing to do differently to make the goal a reality? This usually means you either have to make space, or fill it!  Using our Rosen Coaching Systems, we will help you with your LAASR Communication, Marketing, Dream Team or personal life balance. If you need some help, use this worksheet to put together your action plan of how to accomplish your goal!

Fourthly, you need to take consistent action on the ONE thing that will have the biggest impact this week of moving you towards your goal.  Get accountability from your team, your coach, a friend or colleague.  Report to them each week on your progress, wins, challenges, and what you’ve learned and accomplished.

Lastly, need help creating balance in your life to manage yourself at the office and at home to get it all done? Find out how to create the perfect life and how to achieve your goals!

We at Rosen Chiropractic Coaching would love to help you make 2010 your best year yet! If you want to THRIVE in a Care vs. Scare TRUE Wellness Model, give us a call for a Free Consultation to see if we can help. No pressure, no obligations.

As a gift to you, please keep an eye out for a 35 minute audio file on this topic coming soon!  Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to get the FREE gift, click here to subscribe!

Lead By Example

January 8th, 2010 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Wellness Practice, Goals & Aspirations, Health Care, Leadership

So the New Year is upon us!  We have a reflective perspective of last year and what we accomplished or didn’t. And we have a vision, hope and goals of what we want 2010 to be like.

Have you taken the time to do an inventory of your life? Where in your life are you incongruent or not performing and leading how you’d like to? Paraphrasing Dr. Patrick Gentempo, the level of incongruency leads to a proportionate level of destruction. As chiropractic coaches, we at Rosen Coaching help chiropractors reach new levels of success in all areas of their lives, including how to thrive in a true wellness model.

I speak to chiropractors day in and day out. And I truly feel it is time that our profession stand up and lead by example.  Are you the epitome of health, energy and vitality?  Is your diet full of rich, whole foods? Do you exercise daily? Do you live a healthy, vitalistic chiropractic lifestyle?  If you don’t, it’s time. And don’t try and hide it – take a stand to share with your office the lifestyle changes you are making. The time is now to create excellence in YOUR health. And ask them to join you.  If you do, good for you! Set some new goals and ways you can push your healthy lifestyle to the next level.

Excellence, leadership and health are not created by chance, but by choice: Every day and in every moment.  Choose to be a true leader in your community who leads by example. Actions are so much more powerful than words covering incongruence.  Be the change you want to see.  This is your year to lead your community to health and wellness!

What Successful Chiropractors Do

December 21st, 2009 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Practice Management, Chiropractic Success, Chiropractic Wellness Practice, Goals & Aspirations

What is the one thing that successful chiropractors do at the Holiday Season? Yes, they have fun, regenerate and relax with family and friends.  But more importantly? There are some basic steps that the ones who are creating the life and practice of their dreams do routinely at year end. Here they are:

  • Take some time to reflect on 2009.  What did you set out to accomplish? What was your intention for the year?  Did you accomplish those things? What were the wins? More importantly, what needs to be improved upon? What didn’t  you accomplish but you learned something about yourself? How did you deal with challenge and adversity? Overall, how did you show up this year? In life and practice?
  • Set a theme or intention to 2010: Maybe it’s practice growth. Maybe it’s the year of leadership.  Have an idea how you want 2010 to end before it starts
  • Define your mission for 2010. In a written paragraph and look at it every morning to remind yourself of this big picture thinking you’re starting the year off with
  • What are the Top 5 goals that you have to accomplish to make 2010 your best year yet?
  • Set time aside each day (preferably the morning) to review your Top 5 goals and write the 5 things you must do today to move you towards those big goals
  • Lastly, be disciplined and committed. Take your success seriously.  Get a coach. Show up big. Get organized and focused on making your goals a reality.

Have a very Happy Holiday with your family and loved ones.  From us at Rosen Chiropractic Coaching, we’re wishing you a safe and happy New Year and that 2010 is your best year yet!

Your Next Level of Chiropractic Success

December 15th, 2009 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Success, Goals & Aspirations, Leadership

In addition to the Ask. vs. Tell idea of asking people questions as opposed to telling them what we think, what about asking ourselves questions to get to our next level of success?

As we are approaching the end of the year, here are some questions to consider for what will change in your life and your chiropractic practice in 2010 to become more successful.  Who we are being starts the physical manifestation of the results you want to see in your life. Many of these questions come from my coach, Robin Sharma, and many of them come from coaching chiropractors myself:

1. The Unstuck Question: “Is this choice moving me towards or away from what I want”?

2. The Authenticity Question: “Who am I”?

3. The Clarity Question: “What am I trying to accomplish”?

4. The Intention Question: “Why am I trying to accomplish it”?

5. The Mastery Question: “How can I get better”?

6. The Growth Question: “What am I resisting’?

7. The Fearlessness Question: “What am I afraid of”?

8. The Gratitude Question: “What am I grateful for”?

9. The Impact Question: “What one thing can have the biggest impact”?

10. The Legacy Question: “What legacy do I want to leave, for my family, my practice and my community?

11. The Integrity Question: “Are my beliefs, thoughts and actions aligned”?

12. The Action Question: “What is the one thing I’m going to work on to get the results I desire”?

At Rosen Chiropractic Coaching we are committed to your success in your chiropractic practice and your life. We are here to help and would be honored to do so.

The Key To Chiropractic Practice Success

November 26th, 2009 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Practice Management, Chiropractic Success, Chiropractic Wellness Practice, Goals & Aspirations, Leadership

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. No gifts, no pressure. Just family, friends, and loved ones. The idea of just getting together to be together, being present, enjoying each other’s company and being grateful for what we have.  The most important thing in our lives are the relationships and love we have.

The first key to having the life and chiropractic practice of your dreams? Be grateful for what you have. What you focus on, expands.  So if you focus on what you don’t have… guess what?  It grows. So why not focus on what you are thankful you already have?  It will naturally expand. This mindset and feeling of gratefulness will bring you to an entire new level of attraction and success.

My suggestion? Write down 5 things you are grateful for in your personal life and 5 things you are grateful for in your chiropractic practice at the end of each day. This is the starting place for explosive growth and success in a TRUE Wellness Model. Have a mindset of abundance and satisfaction drive your decisions and actions, not from a place of lack and fear.

At Rosen Coaching, we are so grateful to have you be a part of our lives and to have you be a part of our mission to have chiropractors be the recognized leaders of TRUE healthcare and the wellness revolution!

The Life of Your Dreams

November 17th, 2009 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Chiropractic Success, Goals & Aspirations, Leadership

Are you living the life of your dreams, as a chiropractor and personally?  If not, why not? Many people I speak with, as a chiropractic coach, who are not having the success they desire in their practice or personal life and I want to help you live the life of your dreams:

1. Know what the life of your dreams looks like. Imagine it, visualize it.  If we don’t know what the end is, how will we ever know we got there? Without knowing our vision, we are always unsatisfied.

2. What is your life about? As a human being and as a chiropractor? Write a mission statement that is clear and concise. Your mission outlines how will you achieve your vision. When we coach chiropractors to build a Dream Team with their CA’s, we ask that they read the mission together before each day.  We must keep the big perspective and the ‘why’ we do what we do in the forefront of our minds to not get caught in the mundane details of life and practice.

3. What do you stand for? What are your core values?  For yourself personally and for your chiropractic practice.  These are the foundations that you measure every decision against. If it’s aligned with your values, consider it. If it’s not, move on, even if it’s a good deal.

4. What is success to you?  What are the categories of success for you personally and your practice?  Discover these categories (hint: it’s not just financial wealth) and then grade yourself where you are today on a scale of 1-10. Then decide what ONE thing you need to do to move you more towards a 10 in each category.  Categories could include: Personal Fulfillment, Health, Finances, Practice, Lifestyle, and Family, for example.

5. Get organized and focused on what’s important!  Many people have great ideas and no organization to execute. Be diligent about managing yourself (notice I didn’t say your time) and each day work on what is most important or what will have the greatest impact on your life.  Move away from distractions and ADHD tendencies of a high-tech, high-noise world.

6. Take consistent action. Knowing what you want is one thing. The next is to actually create movement and action towards it. Craziness comes from doing the same thing and expecting different results. So do something different and take action!

There is a month and a half until the end of 2009. Have you achieved your goals? Maybe you didn’t set any.  Let’s see if you can generate some momentum and self-discipline to move towards the successful life of your dreams between now and New Year’s Eve. If you want support and coaching to have the life and practice of your dreams, at Rosen Coaching we’re here to help. It’s our specialty and expertise. Contact us for a Free Consult to get the ball rolling. Life is short, it’s time to make the most of it!

Charted Course

June 29th, 2009 by angiemeyerdc | No Comments | Filed in Chiropractic Coaching, Goals & Aspirations, Leadership, Practice Management, Success

leadership, adversity, challengeAre you a pessimist, an optimist or a leader?  We need to look at how you deal with challenge and adversity to find out. Most people say they are optimists when asked, but if we look at the proof of their external results we might find out otherwise.  John Maxwell, one of my favourite authors on leadership, says this:

“The pessimist complains about the wind.  The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjusts the sails.”

Sailing without a charted course is like driving without a map or GPS, and like setting goals without an action plan.  It leads to circular action, unintentional sabotage, and rarely reaching your desired destination.

Not only do leaders have a vision and mission, they set long-term and short-term goals with a definitive action plan.  AND they consistently take intentional action, stay on the charted course, adjust the sails and the course as needed.

To manage your chiropractic practice like a leader we need to ensure you are the captain, keeping the big picture about what practice growth you want and what you are trying to achieve.  You need to look at the conditions, the charted course, and take consistent action AND you need to lead your team!  A world cup skipper cannot sail the ship themselves.  They need a solid team with the same vision, desires and willing to work hard and be rewarded for it. As chiropractic coaches and consultants, we help office create and manage a Dream Team and help Get The Team To Grow The Practice!

If you have been being a pessimist or an optimist during the stormy conditions of the past 6 months, it’s time to step up your leadership of yourselves, your practice management and your team!  People in your community need your help. It’s time to lead the chiropractic wellness revolution!
